Skyzack is a not-for-profit organisation set up to (a) help businesses, including the founder’s own company, with digital marketing and (b) provide employment and valuable experience for young people interested in getting into the business.
Skyzack will always endeavour to carry out work to the highest standards, in reasonable timescales and, by using smart business tools, at costs well below normal market rates.
In view of the nature and reach of digital marketing, it is important that Skyzack clients understand where Ownership, Responsibility, Permissions, Liability and Privacy lie in relation to marketing content and its delivery over the internet.
Upon completion, full ownership of all work undertaken by Skyzack for, or on behalf of, the client to that date is transferred to them in its entirety. Ongoing and future work carried out by Skyzack will similarly be transferred to the client upon completion and payment. This ownership extends to all related copyright and trademarks.
Skyzack clients are always responsible for all content, created by them, Skyzack or any third party, which is put onto their website, posted on or linked with their social media and email accounts, and shared through any other media platforms. This responsibility extends to e-commerce, email marketing and non-digital (hard copy) marketing material. Unless otherwise agreed, Skyzack is not responsible for responding to client’s private messages on social media. However, we will pass them onto clients and ask if they’d like us to respond on their behalf.
The client takes full responsibility for their inclusion of any and all brands, trademarks, designs and copyrighted material, in any content produced, shared and/or made public, by them, Skyzack or any third party. Skyzack clients must ensure that they have permission to extend any related intellectual property rights to Skyzack when Skyzack undertakes work for them.
If social media approval is requested, posts will be sent to the client early in the week of the posts. Skyzack requires approval or changes within 2 business days. If approval isn’t received, content will be posted as scheduled, or if agreed prior, posts will be skipped for the week without a change to the service fee.
Specific or time-dependent content is to be given by the client at least 3 business days in advance to allow for scheduling changes and content creation.
If more posts are required than initially agreed, they can be added for an additional fee.
Software can become unsupported after a period of time even if updated regularly through maintenance and ultimately lead to a legacy system. Skyzack recommends that websites are overhauled every 2 – 5 years and the responsibility for this rests with the client.
Skyzack will always endeavour to operate in the best interests of its clients, but cannot take responsibility, nor be held liable, for any loss of any kind resulting from (a) work produced or services provided (including third party domain and web hosting, and e-commerce) for their clients, (b) internet security breaches by any malware or cybercrime and (c) legacy systems including websites more than 5 years old.
