Welcome to the March/April 2021 edition of the Skyzack newsletter. Here you’ll find the Skyzack team’s latest adventures, as well as updates from our clients and friends. This month we’re sharing marketing tips for small businesses, along with a look at our latest website and illustration projects.

A year on…

A whole 12 months?! We’re writing this with sadness and reflection on the losses and hardships of the last year. However, whilst it’s been an incredibly difficult time, we’ve also seen so much strength, compassion and other amazing things from our town’s community. As things begin to improve, we’re so excited to be able to visit our favourite small businesses and to get to know all the new ones that have joined Macclesfield! As always, if you’d like any help with your online presence, some business support and advice or even just a chat, please feel free to get in touch with us.

Marketing tips to remember:

Back in December, we wrote a blog covering some of the most important tools to consider over Christmas during covid. But these marketing tips aren’t just for the festive period, and are especially important as we begin the gradual return to “normality”.

Communicate

As businesses reopen, your online presence must line up with what you’re doing. Everything on your website, social media and Google listing should be kept up to date, clear and consistent so that your customers know exactly what to expect at every stage.

Celebrate

It’s been great to see people supporting their favourite local businesses however they can over lockdown. Whether they’ve been buying online, following your social media or writing Google reviews, every little helps. By showing your appreciation and how much you value the support, you’re likely to boost loyalty even more.

Support

In the same vein, it’s equally as important that we support each other as much as we can. This can be through social media, word of mouth or even collaborations, of which we’ve seen some great ones over the last year. In March, we saw some lovely Mother’s Day hampers from Monocle Deli, Yas Bean, Dick Vincent Illustrations, Fruits of the Forage, Scoop and Scales and ELOV which was a great example of local small businesses collaborating!

Skyzack Spotlight: PH Labels

As we expand into Bollington with our new virtual hub, this month’s Skyzack Spotlight falls on a recent client who came to us looking to update their website. PH Labels, a local business, is a major supplier of plain & printed flour bags, bread bags, food service bags & labels, A4 sheets and bespoke.

We recently worked with PH Labels on a complete website refresh to change their static web page to an interactive e-commerce site. Fortuna designed a fully responsive, mobile-friendly website that allows the business to sell all of their products and services online.

This was a great project to work on and we’re so glad PH Labels is happy with the result, a huge thank you for these kind words on our Google reviews! Check out the new PH Labels website at phlabels.co.uk

Time to explore Bollington!

It’s finally ready! With the help of our friends at Oldfield Printers, we’re happy to say our Bollington Pocket Guide is printed and ready to guide you around the town. Jim’s already handing them out to the small businesses in Bollington, so let us know if you spot them as places start to open again.

Do you need a website?

Whether through websites or social media, an online presence is so important, especially as face-to-face interactions are limited. Here at Skyzack, we will always prioritise what will work best for you and your business. We want to create something that is more than just a reference point and that acts as a channel that works for your business. We want to get to know your business from the inside and will discuss what you really need to succeed in 2021. If you’re starting from scratch with a brand-new venture, in need of an update or just looking for advice, we can help. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to get in touch for a chat.

Thank You!
